Intramural Emory Global Health Case Competition
The Intramural Emory Global Health Case Competition (EGHCC) is an immersive learning event that unites Emory students from multiple disciplines to tackle a critical global health challenge in both a competitive and collaborative environment.
The winning team from the intramural Emory competition advances to compete in the Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition, where they represent Emory University and compete in the largest global health case in the world.
Application Period: November 4 - December 20, 2024Competition Dates: January 24 - February 1, 2025
All Emory University students are encouraged to participate, including undergraduates from Emory College and Oxford College, graduate students from all seven graduate and professional schools, Emory medical residents, and Emory post-doctoral fellows. Teams of four to six students, including students from at least three different Emory schools, compete for cash prizes and a spot to represent Emory at the EGHI-hosted, international global health competition.
The competition is a hybrid virtual/in-person event. Teams receive the case challenge one week before presenting their solutions to the judges. A case advisor meets virtually with the team for one hour and offers feedback on their draft solution. All other activities take place in person on Emory’s campus.

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, 71 students representing nine different Emory schools competed before a panel of six judges. The winning team advanced to compete on in the 2024 Emory Morningside Global Case Competition.
