Each year, EGHI hosts a variety of Global Health Forums that focus on timely global health topics. Each forum typically follows a panel discussion format and can include Emory faculty members, visiting scholars, and other expert panelists.

The Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI) is pleased to host Dr. Chin Yong Pak, MD, MA, a leader in global health practice, training, and research from South Korea’s Yonsei Institute for Global Health (YIGH).

Dr. Pak will present “The World in Yonsei, Yonsei in the World” and share reflections and lessons learned from YIGH Medical Mission Center’s overseas medical mission programs in partnership with 20 medical institutions and mission organizations worldwide.

YIGH currently engages in 32 education and training projects, 26 social contribution projects, and six cooperation projects in 42 countries.

This panel discussion focused on two collaborations between CARE and Emory: SWASH+ and Tipping Point.

SWASH+ aims to increase the scale, impact, and sustainability of school water, sanitation, and hygiene (SWASH) programming.

Tipping Point addresses the root causes of child, early, and forced marriage and aims to promote the rights of adolescent girls around the globe.
