Welcome to the Emory Global Health Institute’s Website. We are delighted that you are here and hope that you find the information provided on this site helpful.
The Emory Global Health Institute was founded in 2006 with the mission of advancing Emory University’s efforts to improve health around the world. Since our founding, we have addressed some of the world’s most critical global health challenges. We do this by fostering global health partnerships, supporting Emory faculty and their research, and training the next generation of global health leaders. The resulting growth in global health knowledge and ability builds healthier communities abroad and gives us new tools to combat public health problems at home.
On this site, you will see both the breadth and depth of the work we do. We have supported global health projects in close to 100 countries and have focused on a wide range of global health issues. Please visit our Where We Work section for more information on the countries and global health topics we have addressed.
We are privileged to work with and support numerous Emory faculty members from diverse disciplines who are addressing important global health problems. Through their work, they are developing and testing innovative solutions to these challenges. Visit our Faculty Programs to see how we support Emory faculty in their work and the types of projects in which they are engaged.
You will see many beautiful photographs on our website that Emory University students have taken over the past several years as part of our Global Health Student Photography Contest. Through our Student Advisory Committee, students from across Emory University work with us to develop innovative learning programs such as our global health case competitions. In addition to these programs, you can read about other ways in which we involve students by visiting the Student Programs section of this site. We are fortunate to work with so many talented students.
Please note that our website only captures the activities that the Emory Global Health Institute has supported. Emory University is engaged in global health in many of its schools and departments, and we encourage you to visit other Emory University websites to learn more about how specific schools are addressing global health problems.
Thank you for your interest in the Emory Global Health Institute. We hope you find what you need on this site. If you would like more information about any of our work, please be sure to contact us directly.
